This branch line railway lies between Minehead and Bishops Lydeard (near Taunton). It is a fabulous day out for the whole family, whatever the weather. There are many events also held by the railway including galas, Thomas weekends, Santa specials and era weekends. For part of the journey, the railway runs along the sea, but for the other half of the trip, the railway leaves the coast and enters the heart of Somerset countryside. Prepare to spend at least one day at this railway because there is a variety of activities to do, not just for steam enthusiasts.
